Ocean Avenue School is one of six elementary schools in the Northport-East Northport School District. It is located on Dogwood and Ocean Avenue in Northport. The structure consists of a main building, with two floors and a basement which is occupied by the music department, the health department and the custodian’s office.

On the main floor is the principal’s office, the library, the heath office, the school counselor’s office, the computer lab, the art room, compensatory learning rooms and in the rear of the building is the gymnasium. The classrooms on the first floor usually include grades K-2 and when necessary, upper grade classrooms. The All Purpose Room is also located on the first floor. This room is used as a cafeteria lunch room and for assembly programs.

Located on the second floor, are the classrooms for grades 3-5, the office for speech therapy and areas for reading and developmental learning.
