Comsewogue School District

The Comsewogue School District is located primarily in the Port Jefferson Station and Terryville areas of northern Brookhaven Town, in Suffolk County, New York. Our school district educates approximately 4000 students in four elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. In past years, New York State has given three of our schools recognition as Schools of Excellence in the national Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence Program. With over 71% of the Class of 2004 earning Regents Diplomas, Comsewogue is in the enviable position of having above average program results with a tax burden in the lower third of the 19 Brookhaven Town school districts. The Comsewogue community takes great pride in the academic, athletic, and artistic achievements of its young citizens. This pride is evidenced by the high standards to which it holds its professional educators; the popularity of student athletic, musical, and dramatic events; and the continuing, long-term support of school district budgets.
