Valley Stream Central School District

Located in the village of Valley Stream, in southwest Nassau County, Valley Stream Central High School District is one of only 3 New York State Districts covering grades 7-12 exclusively. The district has approximately 4,500 students divided in Junior High school for grades 7-9, Senior High School for grades 10-12 and two other schools combining junior and senior high schools systems.

The 4 school buildings of this district are located on approximately 58 acres of land, where a professional staff of over 450 teachers, specialists, administrators, social workers and registered nurses are committed to develop students who become self-directed learners, complex thinkers, aesthetic appreciators, community contributors, collaborative workers, and quality producers

Valley Stream Central High School District was established in 1955 to offer a rich and meaningful Middle School experience leading young into a broad range of opportunities in their lives beyond High School, providing all students with rigorous physical, cognitive and social challenges.
