Montauk School District
Located in the Town of East Hampton Montauk School District students attend Kindergarten to 8th Grade, Elementary Spanish, Art-GA 4th Period and Math courses intended to develop successful learners, self-confidence and motivation to perform in a global, modern society with high standards of excellence, dignity and pride.
Montauk U.F.S.D. is basically a local school district component of a supervisory union, meaning that all of its administrative services are shared with other local school districts, including the superintendent work. However, all schools associated with Montauk are non-charter schools.
Additionally, Montauk School District has an important library center, recognizing and supporting the students' need to become technologically literate citizens in order to succeed in an internationally challenging and competitive work force. There is also an important remark to make students understand and learn to use the Internet in an appropriate manner.
This approach to technology makes it possible for students to access the Montauk Virtual Library, containing a large catalog of books including literature, databases, health, sciences, as well as encyclopedias, magazines, newspapers and other online reference. |
