Uniondale School District
With the mission to instill a love of learning in the students, the schools at the Uniondale School District help children to recognize and develop their unique talents and abilities through their educational programs.
The Uniondale School District promotes positive character development alongside rigorous academic standards and expectations to create the best environment as foundation for children's lifetime of learning as both students and citizens.
Particularly remarkable is the FLES program, intended for children who know a second language score higher on the verbal Standardized Achievement Tests. Foreign language study increases the students cognitive and critical thinking abilities, in the knowledge of the more time invested in learning a second language the more proficient a child will be.
Uniondale School District's Spanish as a second language program improves greater understanding between cultures, developing listening, speaking skills and cultural awareness. This program, in addition to the Uniondale School Library Media Centers, is aimed to explore, discover, and enrich the students' school experience. |
