Roslyn School District
Located less than 20 miles away from midtown Manhattan the Roslyn School District covers an area of 5 square miles on Long Island's north shore. The district encompasses a group of residential communities, including the historic Village of Roslyn, and local organizations granting alternative funding for the many of the district's academic programs.
The Roslyn Union Free School District has 5 schools, including an early Childhood School for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and half of the district's first grade students. Also an Elementary School covering grades 1 through 5, an Elementary School covering grades 2 through 5, a Middle School for grades 6 through 8, and a High School offering grades 9 through 12.
Curriculum development and support services meet and exceed the New York State high standards. The district's students consistently score well above county, state and national averages on all standardized tests and the College Board exams, as well as the staff members frequently recognized with national and state awards for their scholarship and creativity. |
