| Our program teaches a core of knowledge that integrates the New York State Higher Learning Standards while using varying teaching methods such as cooperative teaching, differentiated instruction, and portfolio assessment. Our middle school averages 20 students per class. All students in grades 5 and 6 have an enrichment program offered by the teacher of the gifted and talented program. As supported by our Board of Education, our sports teams have a "no cut" policy. There are 34 before- and after- school clubs moderated by staff members, which meet weekly throughout the year. Hoping to ensure success for all students, our school has optional before- and after-school support programs in reading math, science, and social studies. |
