SOUTHWElementary SchoolT Elementary School starts their year by teaching all classes in caring and warm environment. The Teachers are well educated in early childhood education, and help each students develop in preliminary learning skills, math, reading, writing, music and art.
This year we will have around 16,000 students attending eleven elementary and seven secondary schools, making the district the largest school district on Long Island and the largest suburban school district in New York State.

Southwest is the finest elementary school. The teachers are truly compassionate, well educated, caring, hard-working and diligent. The teachers work hard to get each student to perform to their best ability. |

Need to separate students based on individual needs to meet the minumim requirements set by DOE. This will allow those who excel a better chance for earlier advancement. |
