Bellmore School District

The goal of the Bellmore School District is to provide the best instructional program possible to our students so that they will be prepared for their secondary educational experience and the challenges that lie ahead beyond school.
We are assigned with the responsibility of educating children at the most critical years of their academic development. Our program focuses on developing literacy skills early on. We believe reading is a key to life and is the very core of a child's elementary education that sets the stage for a lifetime of learning.
As technology rapidly grows, so does its involvement in the district's curriculum. Our children are placed on a computer the very first few days they are enrolled in kindergarten. Their skills are gradually nurtured through everyday use of computers and a wide variety of exciting projects that provide them with an opportunity to explore, analyze, and logically interpret data.
Such analysis and interpretation are not limited to technology. Rather, this is a principle that is instilled in every teacher in the Bellmore School District: involve your students in the activities they are being taught in a hands-on manner so that they can apply what they have learned.
