I am a former student of the Village School, I graduated in 2002. Before attending this school i was a student at North High School. And if it wasnt for the switch to this school i would have never made it. The Teachers, The students everything about the school makes it a place where you actually want to go and learn. Whereas at North it was more a chore to attend class. At north not only do the students look down on if your not like them, if you dont have the same money as they do..the teachers do also. The Village School is a place where you can learn at your own pace, make your own schedule to learn what you want, and not what you dont. And to whoever made the first comment, Your not forced to take resource room, if you need it because you dont do your work, or didnt do your work at a former school then they make you take it. I would recommend anyone to attend this school if they arent in school that takes care of them. |

Honestly, this school is horrible to students with special needs. They force them to only take resource room and nothing else! It says on their website that it is for students who had difficulty in a larger classroom setting. There is only one special education teacher and the rest is all general education teachers. You would think that if this school were catered to students who had difficulty in a larger classroom setting that every teacher would be qualified in special education. I do not like this school. I do not like how this school takes advantage of special needs students. It's not right and I think that they should change. |
