Locust Valley High School

Welcome to Locust Valley High School, a student-centered school that stresses excellence in an environment of high expectations and high support. Our size is ideal with fewer than 600 students allowing individuals to be well known and appropriately recognized for their unique and special talent. Our gracious and expansive surroundings provide a clean, safe and attractive environment for students. Above all, Locust Valley High School is an academic institution which challenges students to reach their highest level. Students are encouraged to challenge our wide array of AP and research programs as well as study our numerous elective offerings. During the 2002-2003 school year, close to 100 students will be involved in our Science Research program.
Outside of the classroom, students enjoy a broad array of co-curricular and extra-curricular options. Our journalism program and school newspaper are recognized perennially as among the finest in the State of New York. Locust Valley's music program is highly rated, with one-third of the student population enrolled and numerous students receiving All State recognition. The majority of our students participate in extracurricular activities; and despite our relatively small size, Locust Valley fields teams in fifteen varsity sports.
We welcome your interest in our school and encourage you to contact us by e-mail or telephone if you have further questions.
