Southold High School

Southold Junior/Senior High School is located in the hamlet of Southold, a North Fork Community of Suffolk County, Long Island, about 90 miles from New York City. The population is approximately 5,000 inhabitants, a number that more than triples during the summer months. Recent changes and growth have added vineyards, horse breeding farms and sod farms to the long time crop farms, creating a more diversified atmosphere. We are in close proximity to Plum Island, a United States Department of Agriculture Laboratory for research in animal disease, and Brookhaven National Laboratory, both of which have attracted numerous professionals to our area. The combination of established families and the influx of new families blend successfully in Southold, providing our youngsters with a solid educational support system.
