Candlewood Middle School

Candlewood Middle School, a culturally rich institution of learning, is an integral part of the innovative educational community of the Half Hollow Hills School District. The mission of Candlewood Middle School is to provide a safe, clean, orderly environment where students participate in varied and integrated learning experiences. These experiences will enable and encourage each student to continue the life-long process of striving to reach one's highest potential. Candlewood will foster an atmosphere where everyone will be a tolerant, caring, confident, and responsible citizen. To accomplish this mission, we will align work given to all students with national, state, and local standards; we will strive to attain the highest possible learning outcomes by utilizing exemplary models; and, we will integrate programs and interdisciplinary studies within our school that will teach those skills, values, and principles which will foster productive success in a global society
