Syosset School District
Syosset School District is a K-12 district that has a remarkable reputation of successful students, encompassing all academic subject areas, in addition to music, fine arts and language courses. Learning begin in Kindergarten, since Scientists have discovered that early study of multiple languages results in increasing brain development, serving children well throughout their lives.
The study of languages at all Syosset elementary schools begin Russian in Kindergarten, Mandarin Chinese in first grade, and Spanish, French, Italian, Latin in second, third, fourth and fifth grades. In High School students continue with the learning of Spanish, French, Italian, but also have the option choose to study Russian, Japanese, Latin, or American Sign Language.
The Syosset Central School District serves all of Woodbury and Syosset communities, enrolling approximately 6,782 in 10 schools along the District, including 6 7 elementary schools (K-5), 2 Middle Schools (6-8) and 1 High School (9-12), providing also enrichment activities for all elementary and middle school students. |
