Welcome to Maud S. Sherwood Elementary School located within the Hamlet of Islip in Western Suffolk County, Long Island, New York. We are one of five district schools that is fortunate to be surrounded by an environment that includes a nature preserve, the Great South Bay, and a beautiful residential community. Our school was built in 1958 and currently serves a diverse student population of 450 students in grades two through five.
